Madison is a borough located in Morris County, New Jersey. The township’s population is estimated to be around 16,033 people. The original name of the settlement which would become Madison was “Bottle Hill”. The name was changed in 1824, and it became a borough in 1889. Madison is bordered by the Morris County municipalities of Chatham Borough to the east, Chatham Township to the south, Harding and Morris Townships to the west, and Florham Park to the north.
